Yesterday, Major Richard Star would have turned 54 years old (November 7, 2023). Like many of his fellow combat veterans, after returning home from Iraq, Major Star lost his life to cancer — caused by toxic exposure on the battlefield. Major Star was a leader in war, became a champion for his fellow brothers-in-arms and is now a symbol for thousands of disabled combat veterans. In his name these veterans now band together, to carry the torch he lit, “The Major Richard Star Act”, all the way to the halls of Congress and then on to the White House. Please help these veterans finish what Major Star started by telling your lawmakers to pass the Act [H.R. 1282 / S. 344].
