Hi, folks. Ok, it didn't get onto the Senate floor for a NDAA vote despite 70 co-sponsors. Bilarikis now sits on some vet committee in the House, and he did put it up for a vote in the house (a slap on the back for him, and a slap on the face for those who were cosponsors who voted against it). Honestly, and no "joe rumor", Tester looks like he isn't going to move on this and he is the sponsor. Is there anyway to get this thing at least up for a yeah or neh vote? No BS. and No whiny babies.
Yes the house bill Expands eligibility to certain military retirees for concurrent receipt of Veterans' disability compensation and retired pay or Combat-Related Special Compensation. Admendment 184
Can you break this down Barney Style? The way I read it is that since I already get CRSC then I wont get the increase of difference to what my actual retirement pay should be, am I wrong?
Until Congress passes the bill we don’t know what the rules will be, but it is assumed that all CRSC recipients will be eligible for either CRSC or CRDP. CRDP means you receive concurrent receipt (VA disability and your earned retirement). Not knowing your situation it may be that keeping CRSC is more beneficial for you than CRDP. It will depend on you years of service, rank and other factors. But for many of us CRDP will be the way to go. DFAS should be able to provide you some guidance once the MRSA is made into law. Also, the various forums supporting MRSA, including this one can help you determine which way to go.

Did this make it into the S.2226 NDAA?
Is this in our favor?
